MGMT Energy develops and operates flexible compute infrastructure that monetises stranded energy, provides grid balancing services, and recaptures waste heat.
Flexible Compute Infrastructure
What we do
We deploy high-density compute infrastructure designed for dynamic energy optimization. Our systems can ramp capacity instantly in response to grid conditions, monetize curtailed or stranded power, and generate thermal energy for industrial or commercial reuse.
This makes us a natural partner for energy producers, grid operators, and facilities with excess capacity. We transform underutilized energy assets into productive infrastructure.
Our Approach
Energy Partnerships
We partner with energy producers and industrial facilities to transform surplus, curtailed, or stranded power into productive capacity. Our infrastructure provides a flexible, reliable offtaker that adapts to your generation patterns.
Grid Services
Our infrastructure provides fast-response demand flexibility. We can curtail operations within seconds to free up grid capacity during peak demand or supply constraints. We participate in ancillary services markets, offering frequency regulation, load balancing, and demand response services to transmission and distribution operators.
Heat Recapture
Every watt consumed produces recoverable heat. We work with district heating networks, industrial processes, and agricultural facilities to put this energy to productive use.
Where we operate
Iceland
Operating since 2019 using 100% renewable power (hydro and geothermal). We manage large-scale compute deployments in Iceland for publicly traded companies, and have consulted on AI GPU installations exceeding $100M in deployment value.
Finland
Two sites in development through our joint venture Orka Technologies. Designed for grid balancing participation.
Global
We evaluate partnerships worldwide - particularly where there's abundant energy, surplus generation, supportive regulation, or potential for heat integration.
Partner with us
We structure partnerships flexibly: colocation, power purchase agreements, behind-the-meter arrangements, heat offtake, joint ventures - whatever creates the best outcome for both parties.
If you have stranded energy, grid flexibility needs, or a site with potential, we'd like to hear from you.
